If you haven't heard of Return of Egypt yet, it's a side-scrolling action game modeled after Castlevania games. 100 years after she defeated the demon king and sealed the magical power underground, the goddess Rania Gadish is returning to Egypt. After the miracles of the Exodus, Pharaoh's demands on the children of Israel were increased. He thought they were enjoying too much leisure. The Jews feared being killed in the desert, and God feared their reaction. Then, the Jews began to cry out for war. God intervened by promising to fight for them, and to keep them from fighting. Even though the Jews were desperate to leave Egypt, their plight did not lead to peace.
Although the Torah does not mention the actual route to return to Egypt, it does hint at a future of re-bondage with the Egyptians. If this was the case, why would God have forbidden the Israelites to return to Egypt? This question is answered in the following section of the Torah.
